Summer forest fires are currently burning in British Columbia. These wildfires have prompted authorities to issue evacuation orders in some BC towns. The Environment Ministry, Government of British Columbia and the Government of Alberta have issued air quality warnings for some regions due to smoke . We advise New Zealanders currently residing in or visiting western Canada to view local Government websites for evacuation orders and alerts.
