Kia Ora! Welcome!
We are an informal group of ex-pat Kiwis living in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada who get together for social, sporting and cultural activities and to stay connected to our kiwi roots.

4th July 2009
At Dave Cresswell's farm in Metchosin
For those of you who have not been before this is the premier event for expat kiwis living in Victoria. Dave Cresswell has very kindly offered his property again for this years celebrations. It's always a great family event with plenty of kiwi culture and entertainment.
It's the 20th Anniversary of the Hangi and it just keeps getting bigger and better every year, so mark it on your calendar!
We'll send out more information closer to the event.

Just to add some history on the Auckland quilters. In 1990 when Auckland hosted the Commonwealth Games, they followed the tradition of making a quilt and gifting it to the next city to host the Commonwealth Games, which was Victoria in 1994. That quilt was brought up in 1990 and gifted to the then Mayor Gretchen Brewin. According to legend it hangs somewhere in City Hall.

Is currently planned to be at the Blethering Place Tea Rooms in Oak Bay on 6th February. Please RSVP to me, so I can pass numbers onto TeaRoom Management so they can be prepared. Just like the Boy Scouts.

Also for your information there are two over-40 rugby teams: Ebbtide from Victoria, and Evergreens from Vancouver, who are touring NZ in March and April of this year.
